A few years ago, Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz rechristened their band with a new name, Watchhouse. It was a bold move for the duo that invited a lot of questions. "I feel like we have had friends in other bands come and be, like, 'We really wanna talk to you about this because we think we really wanna do it too.' And my knee jerk reaction is don't do it," Frantz jokes. Today, Watchhouse joins us to talk about their new album, Rituals. It's ultimately a record about healing and lowering your de

Long live Western AF! Been watching their videos for years and we were thrilled to get to make one of our own. Love how this sound turned out, even after a full day of flying cross country with two kids 🫠 🎬 @westernasfuck

You can now watch a stunning new field recording from Watchhouse performing “Beyond Meaning” from @westernasfuck All hail one of the greatest duos in Americana! Watchhouse continues to prove why they’re one of the most powerful duos in modern music. With Andrew Marlin’s poetic songwriting and Emily Frantz’s ethereal harmonies, their sound is equal parts grounded and transcendent. Hard to explain their artistry beyond that. They simply must be witnessed to get the full picture. Thanks Andrew and

We contributed a recording of one of our all-timer covers, Neil Young’s Harvest Moon, to Cardinals at the Window. It’s a compilation album organized by @rodeo_walrus @currincy and @newcommute to benefit our neighbors in Western NC in the long road to recovery and regrowth after Hurricane Helene. The album contains 136 unreleased tracks (!) and 100% of proceeds will benefit Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, Rural Organizing and Resilience (ROAR), and BeLoved Asheville. Feeling big gratitude to all the shows that welcomed us over the last couple of weeks and to the travel spirits who somehow took us from NC >> UT >> CO >> Boston >> Maine >> Brooklyn >> NC during the height of the IT meltdown without a hitch. Many snacks were eaten, and yes i can still play the guitar (but barely).

FEAT alert! We found our way onto Zach Bryan’s Great American Bar Scene ❤️‍🔥 Some of you already found the easter egg, but Andrew wrote a verse for ‘Pink Skies’ that we sang on the album version of the track, and we also got to sing harms and add mando to all the versions. This was a step into an unknown world for us and we’re really grateful to Zach for inviting us to collab on his beautiful song. We recorded these parts on the day a close family member passed away, and the single came out the

So many mountains, so many airplanes. Thinking of several sets that felt extra special with the band, and made the gauntlet of summer travel worth it. Thanks to all of you who came to hear us sing and play 💖
